Dear WEF Speakers, VIP Guests, Awardees and Attendees

Following our press conference on 26th October 2023, work has been ongoing towards our hosting of the WEF West Africa conference.

Unfortunately, after much consideration, the WEF West Africa Organising Committee has made an informed decision to postpone the conference due to an unforeseen circumstance beyond our control. Further details regarding this development have been privately communicated via email to all our VIP Guests, speakers & attendees. (Kindly check your inbox if you missed it).

We now plan to host the conference on 21-23 February 2024, to be precise. The conference will, of course, be preceded by the G100 West Africa meetings to take place on the 19th and 20th of February 2024. See details at www.G100WestAfrica.com

We have not taken this decision lightly, however, we have spoken with our venue, Lagos Oriental Hotel and they're fine with us moving the dates as advised.

Come February 2024, we look forward to throwing open our doors, and welcoming all our esteemed VIP guests and speakers to what we know will be a very memorable WEF West Africa conference.

As we continue to work towards the conference, please do stay in touch. We deeply value your presence and participation and we look forward to celebrating with you.

We are excited to have you on board and we apologise for any inconvenience this may cause, even as we look forward to hosting a grand event come February 2024. We will go ahead to provide updated speaker and attendee fliers, add profiles and reflect the new date changes to the website and officially kickstart public promotion in anticipation of the upcoming events.

WEF West Africa Committee Organises Press Conference to Announce 107th Edition of WEF

On Thursday 26th October, the Organising Committee for WEF West Africa 2023 announced to news agency and journalists at the joint Global Press Conference of the 107th Edition of the Women Economic Forum (WEF) which will be happening in Lagos 13-15 December 2023 at the Grand Ballroom of Lagos Oriental Hotel, preceded by the G100 West Africa Meetings (December 11-12) at the Consulate General India House in Lagos.

The 107th edition of the largest gathering of women leaders from across the world, which kicked off the two-part event with a digital conference in March, is now set for the VIP EXPERIENCE to take place in Lagos, Nigeria from 13-15 December 2023, and welcome an international delegation of leaders, speakers and honorees to the heart of West Africa.

Digital WEF West Africa: World Women Leaders Call for Increased Female Participation

Women leaders from across the world speaking at the virtual edition of the 2023 Women Economic Forum West Africa, have called for an increase in female participation in male dominated fields, and regulations to support and facilitate female owned businesses contributing to the global economy.
The 88th edition of the Women Economic Forum (WEF); the largest and most reputable gathering of women leaders globally, which is in two parts, took place virtually from 8th-10th March 2023 to celebrate international women’s day and Women’s History Month.
Key Speakers included Former Deputy Prime Minister of Slovenia & European Commissioner for Transport - H.E Violeta Bulc, Former Member of the European Parliament & Green Politician – Dr. Bodil Valero, Malaysian based Politician & Entrepreneur, Dr. Hartini Osman who is also the G100 Global Chair for Philanthropy, Business and Poverty Eradication, Dr. Beena Unnikrishnan, Artist, Filmmaker & National President, Arts Leadership Council for Women’s Indian Chamber of Commerce & Industry (WICCI), Dr Linda Pereira, CNN Commentator and President of L&I Communications and Audrey Mothupi - CEO of SystemicLogic Group, Johannesburg, South Africa who is also the G100 Global Chair for AI, Data & Cybersecurity.
